I recently returned from Kenya where I was fortunate enough to have booked a 7 day lodge safari through Mara Gates Safaris.  Right from my first email communications with Agnes, I was impressed with her professionalism and prompt replies.

We were not the easiest customers to deal with as we had many questions, changed itineraries several times and even requested references for the company.  Agnes was always pleased to give suggestions and change quotations.  Her eager manner and willingness to please is what prompted us to choose Mara Gates over all the others.

BUT, what will remain in our minds forever is the safari itself.  Our van was in perfect condition, very comfortable for the long drives between parks and kept clean daily inside and out by our driver Peter, he was THE BEST.  He is extremely knowledgeable and informative about the country, the animals, the parks and the culture.

His years of experience as a driver/guide were obvious and his professional manner was appreciated.   He went above and beyond to position our van for the best pictures of wildlife.  Peter had a great sense of humor and was seldom without a smile on his face.  He really made our safari special and it was a pleasure to spend time with him.

I would not hesitate to recommend Mara Gates to anyone looking for a safari in Kenya, you will not be disappointed.  This is a first class operator.
