This tour is based on accommodation in Sarova hotels and Lodges Chain of hotels featuring Sarova Shaba Lodge, Sarova Lion Hill, Mara Sarova.

Itinerary:

Day 1: Nairobi- Samburu Game Reserve

0700hrs pick up and proceed north to Samburu National park arriving in time for lunch at Sarova Shaba Lodge. At 1600hrs, proceed for an afternoon game drive.

Samburu National Reserve is located 325 kms north of Nairobi in the hot and arid northern region of Kenya. The reserve is placed within the ancestral lands of the Samburu, who are close relatives of the Maasai.

Despite being so far flung, the reserve harbours a number of species rarely found anywhere else. Among these are Grevy's zebra, the reticulated giraffe and the beisa oryx, all of which are only found north of the equator.

Day 2: Samburu Game Reserve

1. 0600hrs, early morning game drive followed by breakfast. Lunch at Sarova Shaba Lodge
2. 1600hrs proceed for an afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at Sarova Shaba Lodge

Day 3: Samburu- Lake Nakuru

0800hrs, pick up and drive to Lake Nakuru National park arriving in time for lunch at Lake Nakuru Lion Hill lodge. After lunch go for an afternoon game drive

Day 4: Lake Nakuru – Maasai Mara National Reserve

1. 0700 hrs pick up and drive via the Great Rift Valley to arrive at Maasai Mara in time for lunch. Along the way we will have a distant view of Mt. Longonot, Mt. Margaret and Mt. Suswa.
2. 1600 hrs -An afternoon game drive till dusk.

The Masai Mara National Reserve is Kenya's finest wildlife reserve. Everything about this reserve is outstanding. The wildlife is abundant and the gentle rolling grasslands ensure that animals are never out of sight. Birds, too, are prolific. Including migrants, well over 450 species have been recorded, among them, 57 species of birds of prey.

The climate is gentle, rarely too hot and well-spread rainfall year round. Rain, when it falls almost always chooses the late afternoon or night. Between July and October, when the great wildebeest migration is in the Maasai Mara National Reserve, the sensation is unparalleled.

Day 5: Maasai Mara National Reserve

1. 0630 hrs -Early morning game drive in the Mara. Later, return to the lodge for breakfast. Rest of the morning at leisure. (On this day, you also have an optional balloon ride- at an extra cost with pick up from the lodge at 0500hrs)
2. 1600 hrs -After lunch at the lodge, proceed for an afternoon game drive till dusk.

Dinner and overnight at Mara Sarova Luxury tented camp

Day 6: Maasai Mara- Nairobi

Breakfast at the lodge and at 0800hrs, return to Nairobi arriving around 1300 hrs.

- Transport based on a Safari vehicle with pop up roof for game viewing
- Driver allowances and park fees for vehicle and driver
