This tour is based on accommodation in Simba Lodges Chain of hotels featuring Samburu Simba Lodge, Lake Naivasha Simba, Mara Simba lodge.

Itinerary:

Day 1: Nairobi- Samburu Game Reserve

0700hrs pick up and proceed north to Samburu National park arriving in time for lunch at Samburu Simba Lodge. At 1600hrs, proceed for an afternoon game drive.

Samburu National Reserve is located 325 kms north of Nairobi in the hot and arid northern region of Kenya. The reserve is placed within the ancestral lands of the Samburu, who are close relatives of the Maasai. Despite being so far flung, the reserve harbours a number of species rarely found anywhere else.

Among these are Grevy's zebra, the reticulated giraffe and the beisa oryx, all of which are only found north of the equator.

Day 2: Samburu Game Reserve

0600hrs, early morning game drive followed by breakfast. Lunch at Samburu Simba Lodge

Day 3: Samburu- Lake Naivasha

0800hrs, pick up and drive to Lake Naivasha arriving in time for lunch at Lake Naivasha Simba lodge. After lunch go for an afternoon boat ride,

Day 4: Lake Naivasha – Maasai Mara National Reserve

0700 hrs pick up and drive via the Great Rift Valley to arrive at Maasai Mara in time for lunch. Along the way we will have a distant view of Mt. Longonot, Mt. Margaret and Mt. Suswa.

1600 hrs -An afternoon game drive till dusk.

The Masai Mara National Reserve is Kenya's finest wildlife reserve. Everything about this reserve is outstanding. The wildlife is abundant and the gentle rolling grasslands ensure that animals are never out of sight.

Birds, too, are prolific. Including migrants, well over 450 species have been recorded, among them, 57 species of birds of prey. The climate is gentle, rarely too hot and well-spread rainfall year round. Rain, when it falls almost always chooses the late afternoon or night.

Between July and October, when the great wildebeest migration is in the Maasai Mara National Reserve, the sensation is unparalleled.

Dinner and overnight at Mara Simba Lodge

Day 5: Maasai Mara National Reserve

0630 hrs -Early morning game drive in the Mara. Later, return to the lodge for breakfast. Rest of the morning at leisure. (On this day, you also have an optional balloon ride- at an extra cost with pick up from the lodge at 0500hrs)
1600 hrs -After lunch at the lodge, proceed for an afternoon game drive till dusk.

Dinner and overnight at Mara Simba Lodge

Day 6: Maasai Mara- Nairobi

Breakfast at the lodge and at 0800hrs, return to Nairobi arriving around 1300 hrs.
